Troubleshooting: Treadmill Not Responding / Error in Right Leg

This guide covers the two most common causes of errors in the treadmill's right leg, as well as how to check and resolve them.

Check the connection cable in the right leg

Errors can occur in the cable that runs from the black cover at the bottom of the right leg up to the console. The cable is connected via plugs at both ends.

Possible faults

  • Bent or skewed plug pins
  • Broken plug pins
  • Breaks or nicks in the cable itself (e.g., if it has been pinched during transport)

How to check the cable

  1. Disconnect the plugs at both ends of the cable
  2. Carefully inspect the plug pins for bending or breakage
  3. Check the entire length of the cable for small nicks or breaks
  4. If possible: Remove the cable completely from the leg and inspect it thoroughly

Check the plugs on the circuit board under the black cover

Another typical cause is that one or more plugs on the circuit board have come loose

How to check the circuit board

  1. Turn off the power to the treadmill
  2. Remove the black cover (typically 3-4 small screws)
  3. Check that all plugs are correctly seated on the circuit board
  4. Briefly reconnect the power and see if there is a light on the circuit board (if relevant to the error)

Summary

There are two primary sources of error to investigate:

Source of ErrorSymptoms Solution
Cable in right legNo response, unstable connection Check plugs, plug pins and cable for breaks
Plug on circuit board No power/light, missing signalEnsure all plugs are correctly seated
