Welcome background

Boundary on Slopes - Grouw 1200 APP Control

Boundary on Slopes

  • Maximum Slope: The robotic lawnmower can handle slopes of up to 35% (20°).
  • Warning: Avoid using the robotic lawnmower on slopes that are steeper than this.
  • Slope Calculation: The slope in percentage is calculated as the height difference in centimetres between two points with a distance of 100 centimetres.

  • Upper Boundary: Must not be laid across a slope over 35% (20°). Must be at least 30 cm from obstacles.
  • Lower Boundary: Must not be laid across a slope over 17% (10°). Must be at least 40 cm from obstacles.
  • Risk: If the lower boundary is laid across a steeper slope, the robotic lawnmower may slide out of the working area, especially if the grass is wet.

The robotic lawnmower can pass through narrow passages that meet these requirements:

  • Passage Length: Maximum 8 metres.
  • Distance Between Boundary Cables: At least 60 cm.
  • Note: If the distance is less than 60 cm, the signal may be disrupted, which can affect the operation of the robotic lawnmower.

Paved Paths at Level:

  1. Ensure: that the paths are level with the lawn so that the robotic lawnmower can drive over them.
  2. Boundary Cable: Can be laid under the paving stones if they are a maximum of 5 cm thick.
  3. Placement of Boundary Cable: If cutting close to the path, the cable should be laid 10 cm from the paving stones.
  4. Inclusion of Paving: The paving must be included in the 30 cm.
