Planning:
- Make a sketch of the garden.
- Mark the location of the charging station and the boundary wire route.
- Ensure to frame all obstacles such as flower beds, terraces, trampolines, bushes, trees, garden ponds, and paths.
Distance to neighbour's cable:
- Maintain at least 160 cm distance from the neighbour's boundary wire, especially if they have a similar robotic lawn mower.
- If the neighbour's robotic lawn mower is of a different brand, a greater distance may be necessary.
Installation of the boundary wire:
- Lay the wire as an unbroken loop around the area to be mowed.
- Take your time to carefully follow the instructions.
Robotic lawn mower operation:
- The robotic lawn mower moves in a random pattern within the working area.
- It changes direction when it detects the boundary wire or encounters a solid obstacle.
With this plan, you ensure that your robotic lawn mower operates optimally and covers the entire lawn without leaving wheel tracks.
Improved coverage: When the robotic lawn mower detects the boundary wire a certain number of times, it drives a few metres away from the last detection point and moves in a spiral path. This ensures that it covers areas it may have missed.
Charging: When the robotic lawn mower needs charging, it automatically follows the boundary wire counterclockwise back to the charging station.
