INSTALLATION OF APP

The robot is an IoT device (Internet of Things). To maximise functionality and ensure that the software is kept up to date, the accompanying app must be downloaded, and the robot must be connected to a smartphone via either Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth 4.0 or above.

Download the App

First, download the free robot app “robot­ic-mower connect.” It can be used for iPhone (with iOS 11 or higher) or Android phones (version 4.4.2 or higher).

You can also scan the QR code below with your mobile phone's camera, which will take you to a website (the camera will show a link, which must be pressed), then press the “Install” button on the website that appears. This will take you to the correct app in both the App Store and Google Play:

BEFORE CONNECTION TO ROBOT IS ESTABLISHED

Ensure you have the following:

• Name and password for your Wi-Fi network.
• The robot mower's serial number (SN), which can be found on the sticker on the back of the machine. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code for the serial number with your mobile phone's camera. The QR code is located on the label.

Check Wi-Fi settings

The robot mower only works with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Ensure that both the robot and the phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi frequency (2.4 GHz). (Many home networks have both a 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz frequency)

Ensure that the distance between the mower, the phone, and the router is as short as possible during the connection (within 10 m should generally be sufficient).

SETUP OF APP

Open the application and select "Register."

Enter your email address, then press the "Send" button to receive a verification code. Enter the code (within 30 minutes) and create a password by entering it twice. Finally, press the "Register" button.

Setup and connection

Setup can be done in 2 ways. Via QR code or manually

Connection via QR code

• Press (+) in the middle of the screen to add your robot.
• Scan the QR code on the back of the robot (the robot must be turned on, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be active on your phone).
• Allow access to the camera and location.
• The app will establish a connection (this may take a few minutes).
• Enter the PIN code (default 0000 or the self-chosen code).
• Select Wi-Fi network (only 2.4 GHz) and enter the network password.
• The robot is now added and will be displayed under “Devices” with a Wi-Fi icon on the display.
• Name the robot (can be changed under “Settings”).

The robot has been added

Note: When the mower moves to an area of the lawn with limited or no Wi-Fi coverage, instructions sent from the application will only be executed when the mower returns to an area with a stable Wi-Fi signal. The Bluetooth icon will only be lit when the phone is near the robot and a connection has been established. The robot can be controlled via Wi-Fi even when outside the home, provided there is sufficient coverage.
